Two Arrested, Including Service Member, After Human Remains Found on Joint Base Lewis-McChord

An investigation initially launched as a missing person case in Washington state has escalated into a homicide inquiry after human remains were located on military property. This development led to the apprehension of two individuals, one of whom is an active-duty service member.

The investigation commenced on June 12 when the Tacoma Police Department received a report regarding the disappearance of Caelick Bradley, a 28-year-old local resident. Bradley was reportedly last seen on June 8.

Discovery and Arrests

Tacoma detectives quickly uncovered evidence that an unauthorized individual was using Bradley's credit card. This trace led them to a suspect identified as Humberto Rodriguez Hernandez. Hernandez subsequently guided investigators to human remains situated within a publicly accessible training zone on the grounds of Joint Base Lewis-McChord (JBLM), located near Spanaway, Washington.

Authorities indicated that Hernandez also implicated a second suspect, Aydee Casado-Dominguez, who was later taken into custody outside her residence. Both Hernandez and Casado-Dominguez have been formally charged with homicide and are currently being held at the Pierce County Jail, according to officials from the Lakewood Police Department.

The Army Criminal Investigation Division is collaborating closely with both the Tacoma Police Department and the Lakewood Police Department as part of the ongoing investigation.

While the discovery of the remains occurred during the search for Bradley, official identification and the precise cause of death are awaiting examination by the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
