A couple known for their presence on social media has been taken into custody and charged in connection with an alleged arson incident involving an unoccupied West Virginia residence. The fire reportedly caused substantial damage, potentially exceeding $10,000, to a neighboring church.
Dakota Harper, 21, and Felicity Eatmon, 22, each face one count of first-degree arson and an additional charge of conspiring to commit an offense that carries a possible life sentence. These details emerged from records filed with the Kanawha County Magistrate Court.
The duo has cultivated a following of approximately 28,000 users on the popular video-sharing platform, TikTok, where they regularly share content together.
Arraignment Highlights Defendant's Stature
Harper's initial court appearance garnered significant attention, with a video of his arraignment circulating widely online due to his distinctive physical stature. Court documents indicate Harper stands 3 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs 43 pounds.
During proceedings in the Kanawha County courtroom, Harper reportedly took a seat, after which an officer adjusted his chair closer to the table, leaving his head barely visible above the desk's surface.
Eatmon, who has identified herself as Harper's fiancée in their online videos, also appeared in court alongside him. Records state she is 5 feet, 1 inch tall.
Details of the Alleged Incident
The fire was reported on Sunday at approximately 11:15 p.m. in the West Side area of Charleston, according to a local television station. Investigators cited in a complaint indicated that surveillance footage captured Eatmon allegedly passing Harper what appeared to be a piece of paper. This paper was then reportedly ignited and placed inside the vacant dwelling.
Authorities noted that the residential property was abandoned and lacked any active utility services. The remnants of the structure continued to smolder through Monday morning.
The complaint further specifies that the adjacent Canaan United Methodist Church sustained considerable damage as a direct consequence of the blaze.
Both individuals are currently being held on bond, set at $10,000 for each defendant.
